The SECO 17003133 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and edge retention in demanding cutting applications. The tool features a 0.125 inch mill diameter, a 0.375 inch length of cut, and a 1.5 inch overall length with a 0.125 inch straight shank. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous workpiece materials where coating buildup can be a concern. This end mill is used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
The 17003133 is sized for small-feature milling work where precision and dimensional accuracy are critical. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, expanding its use in slot milling, pocket milling, and profile operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. The primary workpiece material designation is aluminum and non-ferrous, making it appropriate for aluminum alloys, brass, copper, and similar materials. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery and does not feature a chipbreaker or variable helix.
The SECO 17003133 belongs to the Series A345 and is designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece material designation is aluminum and non-ferrous (Material Code N).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Use a clean, properly sized 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder and torque to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fail suddenly if run with edge damage.
