The SECO 17002681 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling of small-diameter features in metalworking applications. Built to MEB430 series specifications, this single-end tool has a 0.0200-inch mill diameter with a 0.0100-inch nose radius, a 0.0600-inch length of cut, and a 1.5000-inch overall length. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts. With 4 flutes and a 30-degree medium helix, it is engineered for both roughing and finishing passes. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This ball end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The 0.1250-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and tool holders common in CNC and manual mill setups. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction is the standard configuration for conventional milling operations. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for applications where coated tools are not required or where regrinding is anticipated.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The 0.1250-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation is performed by machinists using collet chucks or end mill holders rated for the 0.1250-inch shank diameter. Confirm tool holder runout before use, as TIR maximum for this tool is 0.0001 inches. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier guidelines for speeds and feeds based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
