The SECO 17002647 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the ME430 series, this single-end tool features a 0.04 inch cutting diameter, a 0.12 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. The 4-flute geometry with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes on a range of workpiece materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and edge retention at small diameters. The bright uncoated finish is standard for this configuration. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine in a full stop, spindle off, and E-stop engaged. Use a properly sized ER or end mill collet rated for 1/8 inch shanks and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. At 0.04 inch diameter, the tool is extremely fragile — verify runout does not exceed the 0.0002 inch TIR maximum before cutting.
