The SECO 17002369 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 3/4 inch mill diameter, 9 flutes, and a 0.0600 inch corner radius, this single-end tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations. The micrograin carbide substrate is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The 38-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This tool is part of the S938R series and features a super close pitch flute configuration designed to maximize surface contact and minimize vibration during extended cuts.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers in job shop and production environments where tight tolerances and high material removal rates are required. It is designed for right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The long length of cut at 3.25 inches and a 6 inch overall length make it appropriate for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling applications. It mounts directly into compatible straight-bore toolholders with a 3/4 inch cylindrical shank.
Compatible with straight-bore cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter. Designed for use in CNC machining applications cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Part of the SECO S938R series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly cleaned before mounting. Confirm shank runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification using a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque and clamping requirements for the collet or milling chuck used.
