The SECO 17002364 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for high-demand metal removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It runs a 3/4-inch mill diameter with a 0.0600-inch corner radius, nine flutes in a super-close pitch configuration, and a 38-degree medium helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life during aggressive cuts. At 5 inches overall length with a 2.25-inch length of cut, this is a full-size tool suited to production milling on CNC machining centers. It is part of the S938R series and handles both roughing and finishing in a single tool.
This end mill is designed for use in toolholders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers working in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Its single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute geometry is standard for conventional and climb milling passes on steel and stainless components. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge toughness needed for interrupted cuts and hard materials. No coolant-through capability means it relies on flood or mist coolant from the machine setup.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank in a compatible toolholder to the machine specification and confirm runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge entry.
