The SECO 17002357 is a 9-flute corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, this tool handles steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The 0.7500-inch mill diameter pairs with a 1.6250-inch length of cut, a 4-inch overall length, and a 0.7500-inch straight-cylindrical shank. A 45-degree chamfer angle and 0.0100-inch chamfer width deliver clean edge breaks on finished workpieces. Variable flute index and a medium helix style at 38 degrees reduce harmonic chatter during both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling operations in job shops, aerospace machining, and general metalworking environments where multi-material capability is required. Its super-close pitch and variable index geometry make it effective for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute tool with no chipbreaker and no coolant-through capability. Short flute length classification keeps it rigid in setups with minimal overhang.

Installation is performed by CNC machinists or toolroom technicians using an appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for a 0.7500-inch straight shank. Verify spindle runout against the 0.0005-inch maximum TIR specification before committing to finish passes. This tool is not center-cutting; do not plunge straight down without a pre-drilled entry or helical interpolation path. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and tool projection length to maintain rigidity.
