Product Description

The SECO 17002336 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built on the S738R series platform, it features a 1/2 inch diameter, 7-flute geometry with a 0.0300 inch corner radius and a 38-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool is suited for both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers of this end mill.

This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Its close pitch, 7-flute configuration supports higher feed rates while maintaining surface finish quality. The straight cylindrical shank with 1/2 inch diameter mounts directly into standard toolholders. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the manufacturer-recommended minimum engagement depth before clamping. Verify runout does not exceed the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches using a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Power down and lock out the spindle drive before changing or inspecting the tool.
