The SECO 17002214 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with a 40-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A TiCN PVD coating adds wear resistance and reduces built-up edge. This end mill is used by machinists and toolroom professionals in CNC machining centers and milling applications requiring both roughing and finishing capability.
This end mill is suited for non-ferrous metal cutting operations including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The AN340 series stub-length design with an extended reach configuration makes it appropriate for applications where tool rigidity and access to features are both priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard collet-style and shrink-fit toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting geometry allows for plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling passes.
Designed for use with standard collet-style, hydraulic, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials in CNC milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the recommended gauge line. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut; the maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inches. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
