The SECO 17002082 is a solid carbide ball end mill from the STBN440 series, designed for both roughing and finishing operations in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built with four flutes and a variable helix geometry, it promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces chatter across a range of materials. The 3/8 inch mill diameter pairs with a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 6 inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach work. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at the cutting edge. The Weldon flat shank ensures positive drive retention in compatible holders.

This end mill is intended for machining steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in CNC milling applications. The extended reach and 3-5/8 inch neck length allow the tool to access deep pockets, slots, and contoured features that standard-length end mills cannot reach.
