The SECO 17002076 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built to Series STRN440 specifications, it features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction. The TiAlN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. Variable index and variable helix geometry reduce harmonic chatter, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. This end mill is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators in shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for peripheral and slot milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temperature alloys where corner radius geometry is required to reduce stress concentrations and improve corner strength. The extended reach design, with a 4 inch reach length and 6 inch overall length, accommodates deep-pocket and extended-reach milling setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach the workpiece. The 0.7200 inch neck diameter provides clearance in deep cavity work while maintaining rigidity through the shank.
Designed as an OEM-style tooling solution for CNC milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank; confirm spindle collet or end mill holder acceptance of 3/4 inch shank diameter before installation.
This end mill is installed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention system per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
