The SECO 17000944 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. This single-end tool features a 0.4724-inch (12 mm) diameter with six flutes and a 45-degree helix angle, delivering efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality on difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. Built from micrograin carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances with a mill diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0020 inches and a TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches. It is part of the SECO S645M series and is intended for use by experienced machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is engineered for cutting stainless steel and high-temperature alloys, workpiece material codes M and S. It is a centercutting tool capable of plunge entry, making it suitable for slotting, pocketing, and profiling operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers. The spiral flute design without chipbreaker geometry suits finishing and semi-finishing passes. The straight shank with a 0.4724-inch (12 mm) diameter is compatible with standard collet and end mill holder systems.
