The SECO 17000922 is a single-end, square-profile solid carbide end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built on the S645M series platform, it features a 6-flute geometry with a 45-degree helix angle and an AlTiN coating, making it well-suited for cutting stainless steel and high-temperature alloys where heat resistance and edge stability are critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports precise tolerances and resists chipping under aggressive feed conditions. Mill diameter is 0.1181 inches with a matching straight shank diameter of 0.1181 inches and a length of cut of 0.4724 inches. Overall length is approximately 1.535 inches (39 mm). This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling specialists in CNC milling applications.
This end mill is classified as a long-length-of-cut tool within the 0.3000 to 0.5000 inch LOC range, giving it additional reach for slot milling, profiling, and pocket work where standard-length tools fall short. Its right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal milling centers. The AlTiN coating performs well in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting environments typical of stainless and nickel-based high-temperature alloy operations. Primary workpiece material designations per ISO material group are M (stainless steel) and S (high-temp alloy).

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC tooling setup and collet torque procedures. Ensure the tool holder and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the recommended gauge depth. Do not exceed recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material, and confirm compatibility with the machine spindle RPM range before operation.
