The SECO 17000092 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-precision milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Part of the DIAXRB430 series, it features a 1/16-inch (0.0625-inch) mill diameter, four flutes, and a CVD diamond coating that delivers exceptional hardness and wear resistance in abrasive non-ferrous applications. The extended-reach design, with a 3/4-inch reach length and 9/16-inch neck length, allows access to deep cavities and recessed features while maintaining rigidity. The 30-degree medium helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and a clean finish. This tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed milling operations targeting aluminum, composites, graphite, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. The extended reach and narrow neck diameter of 0.0570 inches make it well matched to deep-pocket milling, rib cutting, and complex 3D contouring where standard-length tools cannot reach. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC setups. It is typically selected by machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, mold-and-die, and precision component manufacturing.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials as indicated by primary workpiece material code N. Part of the SECO DIAXRB430 series; catalog number DIAXRB430-0.063-G4-B.0-Z4.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the CNC spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per shop safety procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into an appropriate collet or end mill holder and torque the retention system to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0000 inches per specification. Follow machine tool and cutting tool manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and coolant strategy when machining non-ferrous materials with CVD diamond-coated tooling.
