The SECO 10268762 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built on SECO's C5121 series, it features a 0.625 inch mill diameter, a 0.125 inch corner radius, and a 1.25 inch length of cut. The SIRON-A PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life when cutting ferrous and hard-to-machine materials. With a two-flute, right-hand helical configuration and center-cutting capability, this end mill handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. It is installed by CNC machinists and tooling professionals working in precision manufacturing.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium — material application codes P, M, K, and S. The coarse pitch and medium helix angle support chip evacuation in both slotting and profiling operations. The cylindrical 0.625 inch shank mounts directly into standard toolholders conforming to ANSI B94.19 shank diameter tolerances, making it a straightforward drop-in for most CNC machining centers running ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces. This is a single-end tool with no chipbreaker and no coolant-through capability, intended for standard flood or mist coolant setups.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders meeting ANSI B94.19 shank diameter specifications. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify toolholder runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum specified for this tool, as excess runout accelerates coating wear and can cause premature breakage. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated feed and speed parameters for the target workpiece material and coating grade.
