The SECO 10268534 is a 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for demanding metal removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloy, and titanium applications. Built on a micrograin carbide substrate and coated with SIRON-A via PVD AlTiN process, this end mill delivers elevated heat and wear resistance at the cutting edge. With a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 0.25-inch nose radius, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. Right-hand cut and right-hand helical flutes with a 30-degree medium helix angle promote chip evacuation and stable engagement across hard workpiece materials.
This end mill fits single-end toolholding setups with a 0.5-inch cylindrical shank and an overall length of 4 inches, making it a regular-length tool suited for most CNC machining center applications. It is centercutting, allowing plunge and ramp entry without a pilot hole. The SIRON-A coating is well suited for dry or minimal-quantity lubrication cutting in ferrous materials and high-temperature alloys. No chipbreaker geometry or variable index is applied, keeping the profile clean for finishing contours as well as aggressive stock removal.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with 0.5-inch collet or end mill holders. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, and S cover steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and super-alloy and titanium per ISO material classification. Series C5341.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 0.5-inch cylindrical shank in a precision collet or end mill holder to within the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Verify toolholder runout and clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut.
