The SECO 10268358 is a solid carbide, 4-flute square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 1-inch mill diameter and an extra-long 4-inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for deep-cavity and extended-reach milling where standard-length tools fall short. The SIRON-A coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat stability, making it well-suited for aggressive cuts in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Micrograin carbide construction supports edge sharpness and tool life across extended production runs. Right-hand cutting and right-hand helical flutes at a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach into deep pockets, slots, or contours is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes P, M, K, and S. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 1-inch diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The extra-long configuration is particularly useful in aerospace, die and mold, and heavy industrial part machining where standard flute lengths are insufficient.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized, clean collet chuck or end mill holder, torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout does not exceed the listed TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before commencing a cut. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing or adjusting tooling.
