The SECO 10268313 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. With a 0.375-inch mill diameter, four helical flutes, and a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance in demanding applications. The SIRON-A coating provides thermal and wear resistance suited to steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a straight-cylindrical shank and an overall length of 2.5 inches. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling professionals working in job shops, production environments, and maintenance machining operations.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloy workpieces under primary material codes P, M, K, and S. The short length-of-cut configuration, with a 1.0-inch cutting length and 1.0-inch reach, makes it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where rigidity and minimal deflection are priorities. The micrograin carbide substrate and SIRON-A coating support consistent tool life in production runs and general-purpose machining applications.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 0.375-inch shank diameter per ANSI B94.19 tolerance. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys (material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter and confirm runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum specification. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Verify holder cleanliness and shank seating before tightening to avoid excessive TIR that will accelerate tool wear and reduce surface finish quality.
