The SECO 10268263 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a mill diameter of 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) and a SIRON-A coating, it delivers wear resistance and heat management in high-speed cutting operations. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge integrity at small diameters. The 30-degree right-hand helical flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where tight tolerances and difficult materials are common.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, S). The long-length configuration with a 0.2500-inch reach length makes it appropriate for applications requiring extended tool projection beyond the shank. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as lateral cutting. The straight cylindrical shank diameter of 0.1250 inches (1/8 inch) fits standard collet and end mill holder tooling systems.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical collet chucks and end mill holders conforming to ANSI B94.19 shank diameter tolerances. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state per applicable machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the collet and holder bore are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as small-diameter carbide tools are susceptible to fracture under excessive radial load.
