The SECO 10198800 is a single-sided carbide milling insert in the XOMX series, designed for right-hand cutting operations in face and shoulder milling applications. It carries a parallelogram shape with a positive rake angle of 15.9 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style, which together reduce cutting forces and improve chip flow. The insert is coated with a multilayer TiCN, Al2O3, and Chrome stack applied through SECO's Duratomic coating process, delivering thermal resistance and wear life suited for production environments. With an inscribed circle of 0.4409 inches and a corner radius of 0.0315 inches (1/32 inch), this insert is built for general steel milling where consistent tool life matters.
This insert is intended for use in steel machining as the primary application, with secondary capability in stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium. The MP3501 manufacturer grade spans material grades P20 through P40, K20 through K40, covering a broad range of workpiece hardness and condition.
