The SECO 10137987 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for precision milling operations where edge integrity and surface finish are critical. Part of the XVE540 series, this head measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1/64-inch (0.015-inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The SIRON-A coating provides enhanced hardness and heat resistance, making this head well suited for high-speed finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments.
This end mill head is designed for use in modular tooling systems using an E16 connection interface. The 3-flute, right-hand helical design with a fixed 50-degree helix angle supports aggressive chip evacuation while maintaining a strong core. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry where required. With a length of cut of 0.3346 inches and an overall length of 1.4016 inches, this head fits compact tooling setups where reach and rigidity must be balanced. It is intended for use on CNC machining centers running standard cutting fluids supplied externally, as this head does not support coolant-through delivery.
Designed for use with E16 modular tooling system interfaces as part of the SECO XVE540 series. Confirm connection interface compatibility with your existing toolholder before installation.
This end mill head is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before mounting or removing the head. Use the appropriate torque wrench and follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for E16 connections. Inspect the seating surface and connection threads for contamination or wear before each installation.
