The SECO 10137369 is a slotted hydraulic chuck sleeve designed to adapt smaller-shank cutting tools to hydraulic chucks in CNC machining applications. Machined from steel, this sleeve provides a precise interface between the tool shank and the hydraulic chuck body, allowing shops to run a 10 mm inside diameter tool in a 20 mm hydraulic chuck. The slotted design accommodates tools with drive pins or flats. It does not include through-coolant capability, making it suited for dry or flood-coolant setups where coolant delivery through the spindle is not required.
This sleeve is used in milling, drilling, and reaming operations on CNC machining centers where hydraulic chucks are the standard workholding method. It is installed by machinists and tool crib personnel as part of tool assembly prior to running a job. The 10 mm bore accepts standard straight-shank end mills, drills, and reamers. The 50.5 mm length under head provides sufficient engagement for stable tool holding while keeping gauge length in check.
Designed as an OEM-style adapter sleeve for use with 20 mm bore hydraulic chucks requiring a 10 mm tool shank interface in CNC milling and machining center applications.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician during tool assembly. Ensure the hydraulic chuck is fully released and the spindle is powered down before inserting or removing the sleeve. Clean the chuck bore and sleeve exterior thoroughly before assembly to prevent runout from contamination. Follow the chuck manufacturer's torque specifications for the hydraulic clamping port when setting clamping force.
