The SECO 10115746 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0625-inch corner radius, six flutes, and a 1-inch length of cut (1.25 inches measured to four decimal places). The tool carries an HTA PVD coating applied through physical vapor deposition, which supports wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. With a variable pitch design and medium helix, this tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers are the primary users of this tool in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is built for use on stainless steels and superalloys, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes M and S. The single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cutting. The straight-cylindrical shank at 3/8-inch diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders common in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 3-inch overall length and stub length classification make it appropriate for setups requiring rigidity and minimal overhang. It belongs to the SECO S638R series, engineered for variable-index cutting performance.
Designed for use in stainless steel and superalloy applications (material codes M and S) as part of the SECO S638R series. Fits standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool holder secured in an appropriate collet or end mill holder before tightening. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches after seating. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting tool offsets and work coordinates.
