The SECO 10098026 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SPKT10T317TN-M10 in grade MP2050. It features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, four cutting edges, and a neutral hand orientation. The insert is coated with both TiSiN and TiAlN via a PVD process, providing wear resistance across a range of demanding milling applications. At 0.1563 inches thick and 0.3937 inches on the inscribed circle, this insert fits within the SPKT-10 series. A T-Land cutting edge style combined with a positive rake angle of 13 degrees supports controlled chip formation during metal removal.
This insert is intended for use in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It is suited to industrial machining environments where a reliable single-sided, screw-held insert with consistent geometry is required. The M10 chip breaker designation supports medium-duty cutting conditions across these material groups. Compatible cutter series include R217.21-SP10 and R220.21-SP10. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units and is classified under UNSPSC code 23291601.
Compatible with SECO cutter series R217.21-SP10 and R220.21-SP10. Insert uses screw holding method and is designed as a single-sided replacement for SPKT-10 series tooling bodies.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the cutter body is fully de-energized and the spindle is locked before replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the clamping screw — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket and screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
