The SECO 10028453 is a CNMG432-M3 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr. It carries manufacturer grade TM1501 and is designed for negative rake, neutral-hand turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5079-inch length, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. Four cutting edges are available per insert. The M3 chip breaker geometry with a chamfered and honed cutting edge style makes this insert well-suited for medium-roughing to finishing passes.

This insert is intended for primary use on stainless steel (ISO material code M, grades M15, M20, M25) and secondary use on steel (ISO material code P).
