The SECO 10023176 is a single-end square end mill engineered for precision material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required in high-speed milling environments. The 20 mm cutting diameter pairs with a 50 mm length of cut and a 45-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. An ANF coating is applied to extend tool life and resist built-up edge when machining non-ferrous workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production environments, and aerospace or automotive manufacturing settings.
This end mill is suited for milling aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous materials in both roughing and finishing passes. The 3-flute geometry balances chip clearance with surface finish quality, making it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The straight shank and 20 mm shank diameter allow direct mounting in standard ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders sized for 20 mm tooling. This tool is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before mounting, confirm the tool holder bore matches the 20 mm straight shank diameter and inspect the collet or chuck for runout within the 0.01 mm TIR maximum specification. Secure the tool to the recommended retention depth and verify all axis locks and spindle holds are released before initiating a program cycle.
