The SECO 10023153 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built from solid carbide, it features a 1/2-inch cutting diameter, a 0.0300-inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes arranged in a coarse pitch configuration. The ANF PVD coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance. At 5 inches overall length with a 3-inch extended reach, this tool is suited to deep-pocket and extended-reach milling operations. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and handles both roughing and finishing material removal. CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for use on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. Its extended reach of 3 inches and neck diameter of 0.4800 inches make it well suited for accessing deep cavities and profiling work where standard-length tooling cannot reach. The 45-degree high helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and recutting in gummy non-ferrous materials. It mounts in standard straight-bore toolholders compatible with a 1/2-inch shank diameter and is appropriate for CNC machining centers running at the speeds and feeds appropriate for solid carbide tooling in aluminum and similar alloys.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, verifying runout does not exceed the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace the tool if chipping or coating breakdown is observed.
