The SECO 10023151 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It carries a 0.5-inch diameter, a 0.125-inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes arranged in a coarse pitch configuration. The ANF coating is applied via PVD process, providing enhanced wear resistance on aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 5/8-inch length of cut and an extended reach of 2.125 inches, this single-end, centercutting tool handles both roughing and finishing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this end mill where consistent corner geometry and controlled chip evacuation are required.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills running non-ferrous workpieces. The extended reach design allows access to deeper pockets and stepped features without changing tooling. The 45-degree high helix angle promotes smooth chip flow and reduced cutting forces on softer materials. The straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collet-style toolholders. It is a short-series tool, making it appropriate for setups where overhang must be minimized to maintain rigidity and surface finish quality.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the SECO AN345R series, intended for non-ferrous metal machining applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder collet to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout does not exceed the TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before beginning a cut.
