The SECO 10023141 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 45-degree high helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The ANF coating, applied via PVD process, extends tool life and reduces built-up edge when cutting aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. With a 4 inch overall length and an extended reach of 2 inches, this end mill handles deep-cavity and long-reach milling operations that standard-length tools cannot reach. It is center-cutting and capable of both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills working with non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. The long-length, extended-reach geometry makes it appropriate for deep pocket milling, shoulder milling, and profiling operations where a standard-length tool would contact the workpiece shank before the cut is complete. The coarse pitch and high helix promote aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. It is used in job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments where tight tolerances and clean finishes on non-ferrous workpieces are required.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter. Part of the SECO AN345R series, intended for non-ferrous metal milling applications.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC or manual machining personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify toolholder runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification to avoid premature edge wear. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank.
