The SECO 10023134 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0600-inch corner radius, a 3-flute geometry, and a 45-degree high helix for efficient chip evacuation. The tool is finished with an ANF PVD coating to extend tool life and reduce built-up edge in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 3/4-inch length of cut and 1-1/2-inch reach, this is a long-reach configuration suited to deeper cavity work. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. It belongs to SECO's AN345R series, which targets both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool.
This end mill is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual mills running non-ferrous workpiece materials including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar alloys. The extended reach and long overall length make it well-suited for mold work, aerospace components, and deep-pocket profiling where standard-length tools cannot reach. The 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet toolholders. The coarse pitch and high helix angle support aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality in finishing passes.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder collet bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to maintain runout within the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches. Verify proper stick-out and reach clearance before running a program, particularly in deep-pocket applications where the neck diameter of 0.2400 inches provides relief but limits lateral load capacity. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines for speeds, feeds, and clamping torque for the toolholder in use.
