The SECO 10023133 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to the AN345R series specification, it features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter with a 0.030 inch corner radius, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. An ANF PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface finish when cutting aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials. The extended reach design, with a 1-1/2 inch reach length and 0.240 inch neck diameter, allows access to deeper pockets without sacrificing rigidity.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and toolholders running non-ferrous workpiece materials in production and job-shop environments. The coarse pitch, high helix angle of 45 degrees promotes chip evacuation in soft, gummy materials where chip packing is a concern. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in toolpath programming. Its long-length classification makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, profiling, and slotting operations where standard-reach tools cannot reach the floor of the feature.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal, including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Part of the SECO AN345R series.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or lockout-tagout state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder and torque the clamping mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR before beginning a cut. Do not use this tool on ferrous workpiece materials, as the ANF coating is not rated for steel or cast iron applications.
