The SECO 10023132 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.0200 inch corner radius that blends smooth surface finishes with extended tool life at the cutting edge. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 45-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. An ANF PVD coating provides wear resistance suited to aluminum, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. This single-end, centercutting tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 10023132 belongs to the SECO AN345R series, which is engineered for both roughing and finishing passes on non-ferrous metals. Its extended reach design, with a 1-1/2 inch reach length and a 0.2400 inch neck diameter, allows access to deeper features and pockets where standard-length end mills cannot reach. The 4 inch overall length and straight-cylindrical shank accept standard toolholders used in CNC milling setups. This tool is well suited to production machining environments requiring consistent dimensional accuracy on aluminum alloys, brass, and similar materials.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum and similar alloys. Part of the SECO AN345R series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, correctly sized toolholder before measuring runout. Maximum TIR is 0.0005 inches — verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque recommendations for set screws or collet nuts; do not exceed specified clamping force as it may affect shank tolerance.
