The SECO 10023127 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and three flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 45-degree high helix angle. The ANF PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface finish during both roughing and finishing operations. With an overall length of 4 inches and a 3/8 inch length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach is required. Machinists and tooling specialists install this type of end mill in precision milling setups targeting tight-tolerance profiles.
This end mill is built for non-ferrous metal applications including aluminum alloys, copper, brass, and similar materials. Its extended reach design, with a reach length of 2.125 inches and a neck diameter of 0.2400 inches, makes it suitable for accessing deep pockets, slots, and profiling operations where a standard-length tool cannot reach. The coarse pitch and high helix geometry promote efficient chip evacuation in gummy non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders used on vertical machining centers and multi-axis CNC platforms.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders compatible with a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal. Series AN345R per SECO tooling designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or setting the tool. Seat the 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended gauge length and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR before beginning a cut.
