The SECO 10023119 is a solid carbide square end mill from the AN345 series, designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous machining applications. Built with three flutes, a 45-degree helix angle, and an ANF coating, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality in materials where tool deflection and built-up edge are common concerns. At 5 inches overall length with a 3-inch reach, it is classified as an extra-long tool suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach operations. The 3/8-inch diameter and matching 3/8-inch straight shank fit standard collet and end mill holders. This tool is used by CNC machinists and manual mill operators in job shops, production environments, and aerospace or fabrication settings.
The 10023119 is intended for cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous materials where a right-hand spiral, center-cutting geometry is required. The single-end configuration and 3/4-inch length of cut make it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling passes. The extra-long body allows access in fixtures or setups where standard-length end mills cannot reach. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; flood or mist coolant applied externally is the typical approach for non-ferrous applications with this geometry.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Primary workpiece material classification is aluminum and non-ferrous (Material Code N). Part of the SECO AN345 series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder to minimize runout; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0050 inches. Do not exceed the rated reach length of 3 inches during engagement, as extended overhang beyond tool design limits increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
