The SECO 10023052 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0600 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a coarse pitch for effective chip evacuation. The tool carries an ANF PVD coating applied through a physical vapor deposition process, which improves wear resistance and surface finish in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch length of cut, it suits a wide range of cavity, profile, and contour milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.

The 10023052 is built for roughing and finishing passes on non-ferrous metals. Its single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and end cutting. The 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard toolholders. With a 45-degree high helix angle, the flute geometry reduces cutting forces and promotes smooth chip flow, making it well suited for high-speed milling of aluminum and other gummy materials in both production and job-shop environments.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool path program verified before mounting or changing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR before initiating a cutting cycle.
