The SECO 10023049 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 1/4 inch mill diameter and a 0.0200 inch corner radius, it delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentrations in finished workpiece corners. The 3-flute configuration provides a balance between chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An ANF PVD coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, suitable for both roughing and finishing passes.
The SECO 10023049 Series A345R is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and clean corner geometry are required. With a 3/4 inch length of cut, 2.5 inch overall length, and a straight-cylindrical 1/4 inch shank, this tool fits standard collet toolholders and end mill holders used in production and job shop environments. It is well suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in non-ferrous stock where a radius corner is specified by design. A 45-degree high helix angle promotes smooth chip flow and reduces cutting forces in softer materials.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Compatible with toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the SECO Series A345R corner radius end mill family.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop, zero-energy state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of debris before seating the tool to maintain runout within specification. The maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inches; verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and machine setup.
