The SECO 10023048 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 45-degree high helix angle. The ANF PVD coating improves wear resistance and reduces built-up edge when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end, center-cutting tool is suitable for both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this tool in standard toolholders for precision slot milling, profiling, and contouring work.
The 10023048 belongs to SECO Series A345R and is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where non-ferrous workpiece materials are the primary application. Its coarse pitch and high helix geometry support efficient chip evacuation in aluminum and other gummy materials. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard 1/4 inch toolholders. This end mill is suited for job shops, aerospace component work, and general metalworking operations where a small-diameter, corner-radius profile is required.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical toolholders. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (Material Code N), including aluminum, copper, and brass alloys. Part of the SECO Series A345R end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the set screw or collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification before initiating any spindle rotation. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches after clamping. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and never exceed the recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material.
