The SECO 10023045 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. The tool features a 7/32 inch (0.2187 inch) cutting diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a high-helix geometry at 45 degrees. An ANF PVD coating reduces friction and extends tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch length of cut, this is a single-end, centercutting design suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing operations where corner integrity matters. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool for work requiring consistent edge blending at the tool nose.
The 10023045 is built for both roughing and finishing passes in non-ferrous metal workpieces. The 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders, making it compatible with common CNC machining center setups and manual milling machines. The coarse pitch flute configuration promotes chip evacuation in high-chip-load cuts typical of aluminum alloy work. The 3/4 inch reach length and 0.2190 inch neck diameter allow access to moderate-depth features without sacrificing rigidity. This tool is appropriate for production shops, toolrooms, and job shops running non-ferrous programs.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials. Part of the SECO A345R series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before seating or removing the tool. Verify toolholder runout does not exceed the TIR maximum of 0.0005 inch to maintain dimensional accuracy and tool life. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as the ANF coating and flute geometry are optimized specifically for non-ferrous applications.
