The SECO 10023044 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling operations in non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/16-inch diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, delivering controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and improves surface finish at corners. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with rigidity, making it well-suited for both roughing and finishing passes. An ANF PVD coating is applied to extend tool life and reduce built-up edge when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool where corner geometry tolerances are tight and tool deflection must be minimized.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills handling non-ferrous workpiece materials. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as lateral cutting, expanding its range of applicable operations. The high-helix 45-degree spiral flutes promote smooth chip flow in gummy or sticky materials typical of non-ferrous stock. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard collet-style or shrink-fit toolholders sized for 3/16-inch shanks.
Designed for use with standard collet-style, shrink-fit, or milling chuck toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, copper, and brass alloys per Series A345R application guidelines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change routine is complete before handling or seating the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout against the listed TIR maximum of 0.0005 inch before beginning any cut cycle.
