The SECO 10023024 is a single-end square end mill designed for high-performance milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding production environments. The tool features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation when working non-ferrous stock. The ANF coating is applied specifically to reduce built-up edge and extend tool life in aluminum applications. This end mill is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute, straight-shank tool from SECO Series A345, suited for machinists and tooling professionals running CNC or manual milling equipment.
This end mill is intended for use in milling aluminum, copper, brass, plastics, and other non-ferrous materials. Its centercutting capability allows for plunge operations in addition to peripheral and slot milling. The standard length configuration and straight 5/8 inch shank make it compatible with a wide range of collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling fixtures. It is appropriate for both production shops and job shops requiring consistent dimensional performance on non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials (Primary Workpiece Material Code: N). Compatible with standard 5/8 inch bore end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling fixtures. Part of SECO Series A345.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop and lockout condition. Ensure the shank seats fully and evenly in the holder and that set screws or collet nuts are tightened to the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the tool for chips or edge damage before each use. Do not exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and cutting conditions.
