The SECO 10023016 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metals. It measures 3/8 inch in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length. The three-flute, single-end geometry uses a 45-degree helix angle to promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce heat buildup in high-speed aluminum cutting. An ANF coating further improves lubricity and edge life on non-ferrous workpiece materials. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing both plunge and peripheral milling. It is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is intended for use on aluminum alloys, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous materials where a sharp edge, aggressive helix, and low-friction coating are critical to surface finish and tool life. The straight 3/8 inch shank fits standard collets and end mill holders. The Series A345 designation places it within SECO's line of non-ferrous optimized tooling. Standard length geometry makes it a straightforward drop-in for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on CNC or manual equipment.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Fits any tool holder accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank. Part of the SECO Series A345 non-ferrous end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention system according to the tool holder manufacturer's guidelines. Verify runout does not exceed the specified TIR maximum before beginning a cut.
