The SECO 10023009 is a single-end, three-flute square end mill designed for high-performance milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it carries an ANF coating optimized for non-ferrous workpiece materials. The mill measures 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in aluminum and other gummy non-ferrous alloys. The straight shank measures 0.25 inches in diameter, fitting standard collet and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists specify this cutter for precision slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations.
This end mill is engineered for use with aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous materials in both production and job-shop environments. Its right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction suit conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as ramp and helical interpolation strategies common in CNC programming. The Series A345 designation places this tool within SECO's standard-length, fractional-inch solid carbide end mill family, making it a direct fit for shops already standardized on that series.

Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an E-stop or lock-out state per shop safety procedures. Seat the straight shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or shrink-fit holder and torque the retention nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify TIR against the stated maximum of 0.005 inches before beginning a cut. Follow applicable OSHA and machine-tool safety standards for speeds, feeds, and workholding when machining non-ferrous materials.
