The SECO 10023001 is a single-end square end mill designed for precise milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials in CNC and manual machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for high-speed cuts in soft, abrasive, or gummy metals. The tool carries an ANF coating optimized for non-ferrous workpieces, helping resist built-up edge and extend tool life. With a 45-degree helix angle and three right-hand spiral flutes, it promotes aggressive chip evacuation while maintaining a quality surface finish. This is a short-length geometry suited for close-tolerance work where runout control matters.
This end mill fits standard machining center and CNC router setups where a 1/8 inch shank is appropriate. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and pocketing in aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous alloys. The straight shank and short overall length of 1.5 inches make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials (Material Code N) in standard CNC machining centers and routers equipped with 1/8 inch collet chucks or end mill holders. Part of the SECO Series A345.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended grip length before tightening to prevent pullout during cutting. Verify runout at setup using a dial indicator, as this tool has a TIR maximum of 0.005 inches that should be respected for accurate results.
