The SECO 10022719 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for material removal and contouring operations in aluminum and non-ferrous metals. The tool features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with a 0.5 inch straight shank. A 45-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote chip evacuation and reduce built-up edge when cutting non-ferrous workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers rigidity and edge retention in high-speed applications. This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool from SECO Series A245, intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous materials, designated by primary workpiece material code N. The Series A245 geometry and ANF coating finish make it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where clean surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its range of use in pocketing and slotting operations. Standard length classification and straight shank make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders commonly used in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 0.5 inch collet or end mill holder tooling. Primary workpiece material compatibility is aluminum and non-ferrous metals per Series A245 designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the specified minimum insertion depth in the holder to prevent tool pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.005 inch TIR maximum specification after installation before beginning a cut.
