The SECO 10022710 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous applications. Featuring a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this single-end mill is built to deliver efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish on soft, gummy materials. The ANF coating is applied specifically to improve surface quality and tool life when cutting non-ferrous metals. With a micrograin carbide substrate, it maintains edge sharpness under demanding cutting conditions. This tool is used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 10022710 is suited for milling operations on aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials where a sharp, coated carbide tool is required. With a 2.5-inch overall length and a 0.25-inch straight shank, it fits standard end mill holders and collet chucks. The two-flute geometry supports higher chip loads per tooth and reduces chip packing when slotting or profiling soft metals. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. This is a Series A245 tool in a standard length configuration.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 0.25-inch straight-shank end mill holders and ER collet chucks compatible with Series A245 tooling. Primary workpiece material designation is aluminum and non-ferrous (Material Code: N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line before torquing the retention nut. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to confirm it is within acceptable TIR limits for the application.
