The SECO 10008526 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed in demanding shop environments. The tool features a 30-degree variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation across a range of cutting conditions. With an HTA coating applied to the flute and cutting edge surfaces, the tool resists heat buildup during high-feed operations. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators typically specify this end mill for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances are required.
This end mill is suited for both manual and CNC milling applications in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds and feeds.
