The SECO 10008057 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal-cutting environments. Built to the S545R series specification, it features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and five flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 45-degree high helix angle. The tool carries a PVD-applied HTA coating for elevated heat and wear resistance. With a 1 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length, it suits finish milling and profiling passes where edge integrity and dimensional accuracy are the priority. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in CNC machining centers and milling applications. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility for pocketing and slotting operations. The straight cylindrical 3/8 inch shank seats directly into standard toolholders. The normal pitch and fixed helix (non-variable) design produces consistent chip evacuation in moderate-to-high surface footage applications.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank. Part of the SECO S545R series of corner radius end mills.
Install into a compatible toolholder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping value before use. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification after seating. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speeds and feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or coating wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
