The SECO 10000051 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XOEX160516R-M09 in manufacturer grade MS2050. It is a single-sided, right-hand parallelogram-style insert designed for use in indexable milling cutters operating on superalloys, titanium, steel, and stainless steel. The insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and NbN dual coating over a micrograin carbide substrate, a positive rake geometry at 14 degrees, and a honed cutting edge style. With 2 cutting edges and a corner radius of 0.0630 inches, it is well suited for demanding milling applications where edge security and heat resistance are critical.

This insert is intended for professional machining environments including aerospace, energy, and general metalworking shops. Its primary workpiece material designation is S (superalloys and titanium), with secondary compatibility across P (steel) and M (stainless steel) ISO material groups. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to the toolholder manufacturer's specified seating procedure when securing the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket and screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the cutter body's rated speed or depth-of-cut limits as specified by the toolholder manufacturer.
