The SECO 10000048 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the manufacturer designation XOEX160508R-M09 in the MS2050 grade. This right-hand, parallelogram-shaped insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and NbN dual coating designed for high-temperature cutting environments. It carries a positive rake angle of 14 degrees and a relief angle of 15.20 degrees, with a honed cutting edge style. Two cutting edges are available per insert. The chip breaker designation is M09. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert into compatible milling cutter bodies for material removal on difficult-to-cut workpiece materials.
Primary application is the milling of superalloys and titanium, where the TiAlN NbN PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. Secondary application covers steel and stainless steel workpieces. Typical install scenarios include face milling and shoulder milling operations on CNC machining centers where insert-style tooling is used. The insert is compatible with cutter series R217.69-XO16 and R220.69-XO16 as stated by the manufacturer. It is held in place by a screw-type clamping method and is a single-sided insert.

Inspect the pocket seat for debris or damage before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
