The SECO 03276701 is a WNMG332-M3 indexable turning insert in grade TP25, designed for general-purpose metal cutting in CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide and features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN and Al2O3 with a chromium outer layer, providing wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The 80-degree trigon (W) shape with a neutral hand orientation and a 0.0315-inch corner radius suits a broad range of roughing and semi-finishing operations. This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations primarily on steel, with secondary suitability for stainless steel and cast iron. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for WNMG332-M3 style indexable inserts used in standard WNMG toolholders with clamp, pin, or lever-lock clamping. Compatible with toolholders that accept a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, 3/16-inch thick trigon insert with a 0.150-inch hole diameter. Suitable for primary use on steel (P-class) and secondary use on stainless steel (M-class) and cast iron (K-class) workpieces.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket and verify the clamp, pin, or lever-lock mechanism is fully engaged before resuming cuts. Handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during loading.
