The SECO 03276686 is a TNMG432-MF4 grade TM3501 solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual turning applications. It features a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN and Al2O3 with a chromium topcoat, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The triangular insert body provides 6 usable cutting edges, reducing per-edge tooling cost. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, 0.0315-inch corner radius, and a negative rake geometry, this insert suits medium to finishing passes on difficult materials. The MF4 chip breaker geometry controls chip flow across a range of feed rates and depths of cut.
This insert is intended for back turning, boring, facing, and general turning operations. Its primary workpiece material rating is stainless steel (ISO material code M), with a secondary rating for steel (ISO code P). Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Inspect the cutting edge and coating for damage before initiating the first cut; a chipped or delaminated edge should not be run.
